In cooperation with the bicycle leasing provider JobRad, Pentacorners can now order their own company bike and buy it at a low price after three years. Full insurance, as well as any FullService costs, are covered by pentacor. With this mobility offering, we actively contribute to the health of our team. At the same time, we are excited about the positive impact on air quality and traffic reduction.
When choosing a JobRad, the options are almost limitless. Whether it's a racing bike, mountain bike, cargo bike, or city cruiser – almost all models are available, with or without an electric motor. The eco-friendly biker is, of course, always a welcome sight. A shower facility, drinks, and breakfast are available free of charge for your morning energy boost, so there are no excuses!

The First JobRad is Rolling Out
First up, Caro had the privilege of receiving her eagerly awaited bike. Overjoyed and beaming with pride, she shines from ear to ear. Perfectly located on the Chemnitz Valley Cycle Path, her regular commute starts and ends there. Without having to worry about traffic, she can tackle the 15 kilometers each way. Even in wind and rain, Caro regularly rides into the office on her stylish trekking bike, staying fit in the process.
The Second Success Followed Immediately
Next, Sebastian, another pentacor employee, ordered his bike. He chose a gravel bike, which, thanks to its excellent features, is the perfect companion not just in good weather. And he's really fast on it. The new bike practically rides on its own and is “worlds better” compared to his old clunker. Considering the current traffic situation, commuting by car is no faster. Relaxed and with the satisfying feeling of having exercised, he rides past daily detours and construction chaos straight to the office—this is how cycling becomes twice as fun and saves time. In his free time, he takes it off-road, as the dream bike can also be used privately.
Our Goal n+1
More interested individuals are already making their way to the trusted bike dealer. We’re excited to get as many people as possible in the saddle. We’ve already inquired about enough parking space with the landlord, which is definitely needed. Even before the JobRad introduction, bikes were regularly used for commuting, so there are always a variety of visual highlights to admire in front of the office. In fact, we have a wide range of options in our portfolio, from A for old-but-still-roadworthy to Z for pretty-hot-ride.
The formula to calculate the correct number of bikes was recently shared within the company. Each Pentacorn employee takes the current number of available bikes, n, and adds one more bike, n+1. Fat bike, cyclocross, fully, hardtail, urban-style racer, fitness bike, track bike, or tandem—the list is quite long.
A significant portion of CO2 emissions comes from car traffic. Commuting by personal car or company car generates harmful emissions, especially when only one person is in the car. Our colleagues are increasingly making the switch and raising awareness for ecological and sustainable action. Thanks to the 0.25% rule, employees can save up to 40% compared to traditional purchases.
